    My grandson and I are visiting in March. Will characters be able to sign autographs again?

    Hello there Cathy, I'd like to give you a very royal welcome to planDisney! Like keeping a travel log to document an adventurous expedition, autographs are a great way to look back and remember the famous folks you might encounter during your visit this March.

    You'll be pleased to hear that many of your favorite friends that are currently meeting and greeting across Walt Disney World Resort are indeed signing autographs for guests when they come to visit them.

    I love that you're helping your grandson collect autographs as a fun keepsake of your interactions with each character that you meet. I've spent a lot of time with our character pals in the past, and have some handy hints to help you on your quest:

    • Having an item with a hard cover like an album, frame or autograph book will certainly make it easier to sign, especially if you have it open and ready to your desired page while you're awaiting your turn. I've seen some resourceful families bring a flat surface like a clipboard to help our friends sign items with soft or uneven surfaces.
    • Some of the characters you meet may only have four fingers or thick paws so having a wider pen or marker may be a helpful option. I always recommend retractable tips to avoid fumbling with caps, but if your writing tool of choice has one, it's always kind to remove the cap first!
    • Don't forget - some of our famous friends may not even be able to sign autographs if they have sticks for hands like Olaf, or monstrous claws like Sulley. Instead, a helpful Character Attendant will let you know and your grandson may receive an autograph card to remember the moment. This doesn't mean you won't be able to receive a warm, happy hug!
    The grand finale of the 50th Anniversary Celebration at Walt Disney World Resort during your upcoming visit is sure to make it memorable and magical before it ends on March 31st, 2023.
