My grandson was recently diagnosed lactose intolerant. Do they serve lactose free milk in the park and resorts? He won't drink soy or rice milk.

    Hi Leslie,

One of my children is also lactose intolerant and we have easily found lactose-free alternatives such as soy milk throughout the Walt Disney World Resort.  Although food and beverage options are often expanding to include more choices, thus far we have not experienced lactose-free cow milk to be a beverage choice at the Resort.

If your grandson will not drink soy milk I would like to suggest a couple of different options for your vacation.  Your first option is to bring along lactose enzyme tablets for your little guy.  Since my lactose intolerant daughter is especially sensitive to lactose but often times wants to have the same food and beverage choices as her siblings, I always pack lactose enzyme tablets for her. These enzymatic tablets are also available in chewable form if you have a little one who cannot yet swallow a pill whole.  A second alternative for you to consider is having lactose-free milk delivered to your Resort hotel from a grocery delivery service.  Since my family often enjoys a quick breakfast on the go in our Resort hotel room before we hit the parks I have groceries delivered for most of my family's vacations.  There are many independent companies to choose from and in the past I have used Garden Grocer, We Go Shop, and Kelly's PDS with great service from each one.

I hope this information helps you with making your Grand Vacation plans with your grandson.  Please let us know if we can answer any further vacation planning questions, we are always happy to help!

    Blessings,
