My grandson is 5 which place would you recommend, Backyard BBQ or Hoop Dee Doo Review?

    Howdy Kimberly,

Thank you for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel as you plan your magical vacation. I have done both Mickey's Backyard BBQ and the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue on many occasions. I simply adore both. The entertainment of either will have you grinning from EAR to EAR!

Although, I would personally recommend Mickey's Backyard BBQ for your five year old grandson. While the entertainment of the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue is spectacular, some of the humor would be lost on him. At Mickey's Backyard BBQ, the characters dance with the little ones and my kids always had a blast at that age seeing their favorite characters all dressed up in the country best. My daughter happened to be five when we went there for the first time and I will never forget her face when she was twirled by Cowboy Goofy. Priceless memories, for sure. The food is delicious and bountiful at both venues, so either way you cannot go wrong.

I hope this offers some of my personal perspective as you make the choice that is best for your family. Feel free to stop back by with more questions if they come up. We would love to assist you in any way we can.
