Hi there, Lloyd!
Thanks so much for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question! How wonderful that your grandson and his friend will be visiting
Epcot and
Magic Kingdom Park all on their own, and that you will be making sure they get where they need to be for the days full of magic that await them! I have a few tips that should help the process be as smooth as possible for the three of you.
First, the drop off and pick-up locations at Magic Kingdom Park and Epcot are each a little different. To drop off your guests for their fun day at Magic Kingdom Park, you'll leave them at the Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC), where they will then board the ferry or the
Express Monorail for the short trip to the front gates of Magic Kingdom Park. For drop off at Epcot, you'll have two options. You can drop off at the TTC after which they can board the
Epcot Monorail straight to Epcot, or bypass the TTC and drop off/pick up at the ride share stop at the Journey parking lot outside Epcot.
Also, since I do not know how old they are, I wanted to be sure to pass along that unaccompanied minors must be
14 years of age or older to enter any of the Disney Parks without an adult. I do not want your grandson and his friend to be left disappointed at the gates to the happiest place on Earth!
The planner in me would also like to recommend that you give your mousketeers a backup battery for their cell phones, so that they can communicate with you during their magical day at the parks, as well as let you know when they're back at the pickup points and ready to meet you! Plus, if you haven't already, take a peek at the
park hours for the days you've planned to visit, so they can maximize the fun!
I hope that your grandson and his friend have a visit that is everything they've been dreaming of and more! Your family members are so lucky to have you, Lloyd! Please come back anytime we can be of help to you in planning more magic for your loved ones.
Pixie dust away!
