Greetings, and welcome to
planDisney, Harry!
Thank you for stopping by our planet to inquire about the legendary lightsaber shipping to Canada from the Black Spire Outpost. As a fellow Canadian Guest and fan myself, I have shipped many large and oddly shaped items back home from my Disney travels, and while the calculation of a cost for shipping is unavailable to me, my experience is that shipping can range anywhere from $30 to $50 or more (subject to change), and when you factor in the exchange rate it may be even higher. While I have not built a lightsaber or had any experience travelling with one, I have seen many other Guests doing so, and they were easily able to store their lightsabers onboard the aircraft either in the overhead bin compartment or by asking the flight attendants to store it in another area. Your grandson will be able to remove the 31" lightsaber blade from the hilt ahead of time if he decides to bring the lightsaber onboard. I would recommend checking with your airline carriers' stipulations for onboard carry-on items, and also check with the current TSA rules and regulations - a quick search here did show that the TSA has allowed these items through (subject to change).
Please Note:As soon as you check into
Savi's Workshop, at the register kindly inform the Gatherer - Cast Member that you would like to ship the lightsaber home and what the process has been is that Guests are instructed to take the boxed lightsaber to
First Order Cargo for assistance with shipping options and specific pricing details. For further questions, Harry, please contact a Cast Member at (714) 300-7805.
Please ensure you have a
Disneyland Resort - Theme Park Reservation using valid theme park admission when booking your
Savi's Workshop - Handbuilt Lightsaber reservation up to 60 days in advance of your arrival. Kindly check availability on the
Savi's Workshop page or by using the
Disneyland Mobile App and have a valid credit card number on hand at the time of booking.
Tip:Don't forget to stop by the working hangar bay for that delicious crispy chicken served with veggie potato mash topped with green gravy, yes, green gravy. This
Endorian Fried Chicken Tip-Yip meal is available at
Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo!
Harry, it was my pleasure and honour assisting a fellow Canadian Disney fan, enjoy your visit to the planet Batuu -
May the Force Be With You!
