Grandparents traveling with two boys ages 7 and 10 imid July. Papa has heart condition and bad back. Staying at Fort Wilderness take advantage of the parks extended hours. How early does the buss pick up from there and how late can you still ride back?

    Hi Dorita!

Thank you for sending in your question to the Walt Disney World Moms Panel!

Officially, Disney transportation starts running an hour before park opening and runs until about an hour after park closing.  However, it has been my experience over the years that you can usually get transportation a little before that and a little afterward.  You should definitely check with a Disney Cast Member at the check-in area at Fort Wilderness if you need some other arrangement.  However, in general, you will have no problems staying for Evening Extra Magic Hours and getting Disney transportation back.  I have stayed in the park until 3 am in the morning on an Extra Magic Hour night and there are buses waiting at the Magic Kingdom to take guests back to their hotels!

I hope this helps!  Please write back with more questions!
