Hello there, Barb!
Welcome to
planDisney, and thank you for stopping by to ask us a question. I’m so glad to hear you’re planning a
Disneyland Resort visit with your family. Multi-generational vacations are great because there is something for Guests of all ages to enjoy at the Happiest Place on Earth! You’re going to love seeing the magic of the theme parks through your grandchildren’s eyes!
Barb, there are currently no discounts for senior citizens (or any other age group) on food, merchandise, or theme park tickets at the Disneyland Resort. However, if you happen to have a Chase Disney Visa Credit Card, you’ll earn Disney Rewards Dollars on your purchases when you pay with your card. These earnings can be spent on dining and merchandise throughout
Disneyland Park and
Disney California Adventure Park, as well as at Disney-owned locations in the
Downtown Disney District.
As a bargain-hunter myself, I like to buy
Disney Gift Cards at Target using my Target RedCard to earn 5% off my total purchase. The gift cards can then be used to pay for theme park tickets and hotel accommodations or cover the cost of shopping and dining once you arrive at the Happiest Place on Earth! Select warehouse clubs offer promotional prices on gift cards from time to time, so be sure to check for current deals if you’re a member of one. Also, I recommend that you keep an eye on the
Offers & Discounts page of
disneyland.com for the latest on resort promotions. While there aren’t currently discounts for seniors, there are offers for other groups, including eligible members of the United States Armed Forces. If that applies to you or someone in your party, you may be able to take advantage of discounted theme park tickets and hotel rates.
I hope this information helps, Barb, and that you enjoy your pixie-dusted family vacation! Please visit us again with any other planning questions you have.
Wishing you magic,
Courtney
