We are grandparents and FL residents. What are the rules for us buying tickets for our out of state grandchildren? We are interested in the financial advantage but want o make sure we know and obey and rules. Thank you!

    Howdy, neighbor!

I’m glad you brought us your question, Dawn! As a fellow FL resident and Walt Disney World Resort Annual Passholder, I love taking advantage of all the wonderful benefits that come with our AP status! Especially the great discounts available right now, like 20% off select restaurants and merchandise throughout the resort to commemorate the 45th anniversary of Walt Disney World

I checked out the Florida Resident site to look through and read the fine print. And it looks like as long as your grandchildren are under the age of 18, you are good to purchase them tickets as a Florida Resident. I also called in to Guest Services and confirmed this information with a helpful Cast Member. She informed me that only adults over the age of 18 are asked to show proof of residency.

Dawn, I hope you enjoy all the wonderful spring-time activities during your stay, like one of my favorites, the 2017 Epcot® International Flower & Garden Festival that begins March 1st! You will love all the beautiful landscaping throughout the park and the character topiaries are absolutely amazing!

Have a wonderful time with your grandkids and be sure to come back and see us again soon!
