If Grandparents who are residents want to buy their grandchildren tickets, do they need to be present each day or just the first day to buy tickets? For example, the grandparents only want to go the first day, the grandchildren are planning on going three

    Hiya Lyn,

Thank you so much for stopping by planDisney with your ticket question. How exciting that you are planning a Disney World vacation with the whole family. Some of our most magical trips have been the ones where the grandparents join us, making memories right alongside the kids. Those are the kind of core memories that feel straight out of a Disney movie.

So, Lyn, let’s jump right into your question and talk about Florida Resident tickets. To purchase or use a Florida Resident ticket or Annual Pass, the guest must be a Florida resident. Florida residents age 18 or older are required to provide proof of residency at a Florida address.

Additional members of the same household must also provide proof showing the same residential address. Florida residents under 18 do not need to provide proof of residency, as long as the adult purchasing the ticket or Annual Pass is a Florida resident with valid proof of residency. Just keep in mind that Disney reserves the right, at its discretion, to request additional proof of residency at any time.

Once a ticket is assigned to a guest, entering the park is as easy as a Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo. They will scan their MagicBand or Key to the World card and use their fingerprint to confirm that the ticket is theirs.

Since you will be traveling with the whole family, I highly recommend adding Memory Maker to your vacation. This is a wonderful way to capture photos of everyone together in front of iconic spots like Cinderella Castle, Spaceship Earth, and the Tree of Life. These photos become treasured keepsakes that you will look back on for years to come, just like flipping through a family storybook of Disney memories.

Lyn, I hope this helps answer your question and makes your planning a little easier. If you have any additional questions, please feel free to visit us again.

    See ya real soon,
