Hiya Elizabeth,
Welcome to planDisney! Grandparents genuinely are the most magical people on earth; my parents will be traveling with us for the first time to Disneyland Resort this year. I’m so excited for little Mouseketeers to experience that time with their Nana and Pop Pop. I know I’m nowhere near prepared for the amount of sugar and toys my toddler will walk away with during the trip, though.
That is so great that your grandparents want to gift your daughter a Walt Disney World Resort Annual Pass. According to the official Walt Disney World Resort policy, all Guests over 18 must be able to provide
valid proof of Florida residency to purchase and/or use an
Annual Pass at the Florida resident rate. Additionally, while a Florida resident can buy an Annual Pass or Theme Park tickets for another Florida resident as a gift, to activate them, the intended user must provide proof of residency via Digital Residency Verification or in person at Guest Services if they are over 18. If under 18, the purchaser must verify their residency to activate the Annual Pass or ticket.
I hope this was helpful, Elizabeth! I know you mentioned that your daughter and you visit Walt Disney World frequently, so I’m sure I don’t have to tell you that “there is a great big beautiful tomorrow” this year at Walt Disney World Resort. So many
fun and exciting changes are on the horizon, and it will be such a great time to visit. Please come back and see us if you need anything else!
Happy Planning,
Ashley F.
