Grandparents, who live locally, will be meeting us for dinner at the Contemporary one evening. I have heard that the parking limit at resorts for offsite guests is 3 hours. If they paid for valet parking, would they be able to stay longer?

    Hi Jane,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us a question!

Your grandparents have several options when it comes to parking their car at Disney’s Contemporary Resort when they meet you for dinner. Their first option would be to ask the Cast Member at the gate when they arrive that they have a dining reservation (have the confirmation number handy) and then ask whether it would be okay for them to park at the Resort for more than 3 hours that evening. If it’s not a busy day, the Cast Member may say yes and let them park for as long as they wish.

If, however, it’s a particularly busy day, their other alternative would be, as you noted, to use valet parking at the Resort. My understanding is that there is no time limit associated with valet parking at any Walt Disney World Resort Hotel, so they should be able to stay for as long as they’d like.

Finally, if neither of those options works for them, don’t forget that they can always pay to park in Magic Kingdom Park’s parking lot and then just take the Resort Monorail over to Disney’s Contemporary Resort.

I hope my answer helps you (and your grandparents!) plan your upcoming visit Walt Disney World Resort. Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions!

    Have a Magical Day,

    Lynne
