We have grandparents co-vacationing but are staying off resort at a time share...how to they get to us at our on site resort for child care or lunch?

    Hi Amber,

Thanks for visiting Disney Parks Moms Panel.

It's so wonderful to hear that grandparents are joining you for your Walt Disney World vacation! I always feel that enjoying Walt Disney World with family makes all the magic even more special.

One of the main reasons I enjoy Walt Disney World so much is that there are so many options for Resort transportation. Whether by bus service, water taxis and ferryboats, or Monorail, you can find a way to get to where you need to go.

I don't have details on where the grandparents are staying or where you are staying, so unfortunately I don't have specific recommendations and routes that I can share. If the timeshare resort where they are staying offers any complimentary shuttles to the Walt Disney World theme parks, then that would give them a starting point to reach you at your Walt Disney World Resort hotel. Each of the theme parks provides some mode of transportation to the Walt Disney World Resort hotels. I can also mention that on a number of recent trips, I have made use of ride share car services like Lyft to pick me up at my Resort hotel and return me to my Resort hotel for venturing around the area outside of the Walt Disney World Resort. Of course, a rental car would offer yet another option for them to get around.

Amber, if you have more questions around your Walt Disney World vacation planning, please let us know here at Disney Parks Moms Panel. We're happy to help.

    Enjoy your Disney!

Meet the Panelist: Jerry, Pennsylvania

The playful and creative optimism of all things Disney has enthralled me since I was a kid. I loved watching "The Wonderful World of Disney" on Sunday nights, seeing all the live-action and animated classics in theaters, and — of course — visiting "The Most Magical Place on Earth" for the first time 45 years ago. These days, the big kid in me still loves to play Disney. As a long-time Disney destinations vacationer, I'm looking forward to helping you play Disney starting here at planDisney!
