We are grandparents celebrating the holidays at Caribbean Beach with our children and 2 granddaughters, 3 years and 7 months. With the prices of diapers and baby food at the store at the resort, is it more affordable to purchase or send the items ahead

    Hi John,

Welcome to the Moms Panel! We're glad you're hEAR!

Sounds like you are planning an exciting holiday season with your family.  My family really enjoyed staying at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort.  I would personally purchase diapers, baby food, wipes, etc. prior to my trip and ship them to my resort.  The resorts generally have these available for purchase but the selection is limited and the prices tend to be higher.

If you have a rental car, there are stores near Disney World that you could go and purchase the items but that takes time and I want to spend as much time as I can in the parks. Planning ahead and having things available when you arrive will make your trip go smoother.  I ship packages down almost every time I stay at a Disney Resort. Its one less thing for me to have to remember to pack and risk sending my luggage into the excessive weight category when I fly down.

Here is how you should address the package:

    Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort
    900 Cayman Way
    Lake Buena Vista, FL 32830

Please hold for Guest (This should be the name that the room reservation is made under)
Guest Arriving on (arrival date here)

Make sure you send your package so that it will arrive a day or two before your check-in date. When you check in, mention that you should have a package - they usually have it waiting at Check-In for you. If not, they will deliver it to your room shortly.

I often take labels with me ready to ship packages back home in the same box at the end of my trip. I usually have a "few" extra souvenEARs that won't fit in my suitcase.

Wishing you minnie magical holiday memories :-) Allison
