Hey, Jeannie! Welcome to planDisney.
Get ready to make some sweet memories with your grandkids. I'm sure your joy will soar to infinity and beyond as you watch them experience The Most Magical Place on Earth.
Although grandparents are generally encouraged to do whatever they please for their grandkids (e.g. give them ice cream for breakfast, allow them to stay up past their bedtimes, let them watch too much TV, etc.), I'm afraid to say that saving a place in line for someone is not allowed at Walt Disney World. The
official park rules state that people must refrain from "jumping lines or saving places in lines for others."
To accommodate families or groups with young kids, you might want to consider these alternatives:
- Rider Switch - For groups with young children, Rider Switch allows part of the group to ride while others wait outside, then switch roles without waiting in line again.
- Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Single Pass - Use these services to reserve ride times for those in your group, reducing the need for anyone to hold a spot in line.
As a Disney dad, I try to plan our day strategically to maximize the number of attractions we can experience. I make the most of
Early Theme Park Entry and, when available,
Extended Evening Theme Park Hours. These perks give us the chance to enjoy popular rides with significantly shorter wait times, helping us make the most of our Disney day.
Have a great, big, beautiful tomorrow, Jeannie. Thanks for choosing to be our Guest.
Mike
