    we are grandparents of 6, ages 2-10, and a family of 14..We were thinking of a big family vacation next year, what would be the best suggestion for the family vaca, cruising or disney world? We will be giving as a gift..Thanks so much, Sharon

    Hello Sharon!

    First...is there any possibility that you would be willing to adopt me!?  What an amazing gift!  

    Both options, visiting the Walt Disney World Resort and the Disney Cruise Line have pluses and minuses for a large family trip.  At Walt Disney World you have a variety of theme parks and water parks. There is also an astonishing array of great dining locations and resort hotels. With the Disney Cruise Line, there are fantastic shows, great ports to explore, and if you cruise out of Florida, a visit to Castaway Cay, Disney's own private island.

    In my experience, the Disney Cruise Line is the best option for a very large group. The rotational dining will accommodate your large group, and you will be able to spend more quality time with your family. While there is still plenty of options to allow each member of the large group to meet their particular needs, there are also many offerings that you can enjoy together including shows, pool time, and of course Pirate Night!
