Hi. If a grandparent (Florida resident) purchases discounted tickets for grandchildren, can those tickets be utilized to enter the park if the grandparent is not present, and the grandchildren enter the park with a non-Florida resident?

Hi Chuck and welcome to planDisney!

There are many perks to being a Florida resident when it comes to Walt Disney World. Ticket and Resort hotel discounts are a couple of the best!

When purchasing Walt Disney World Florida Resident Tickets, any Guest over the age of 18 must provide proof of residency.  If the grandchildren of the Florida resident are under 18, the grandparents can certainly purchase the discounted tickets for them, as long as they can provide proof of residency.

There are two ways to verify Florida residency to purchase tickets. First is in person at any park ticket window or the Disney Springs Guest Services location with a government issued Florida ID, or an ID with a Florida utility bill, mortgage, car registration, or insurance policy.  The second is to verify it digitally on the Walt Disney World website. You must have a valid Florida ID for the digital option.

Once proof of residency has been established, either in person or online, the grandparents do not need to be with the grandchildren to enter the parks.

    Have a magical day!
