Hiya, Bret! Welcome to planDisney!
It looks like you’re planning a visit to
The Most Magical Place on Earth. Spring is a great time to visit, Bret.
The EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival will be in full swing. The park is beautiful, with fun Disney character topiaries and plenty of great eats and sips at the Outdoor Kitchens across the park!
Disney Celebrates America Military Salute Tickets and 4-Day to 6-Day Disney Military Salute Tickets must be activated by the eligible Service Member or their spouse at a Walt Disney World Resort theme park ticket window. Of the tickets purchased, one of them must be used by the eligible Service Member or their spouse. Unfortunately, if your grandfather is not traveling with you, this will not be an option for these ticket types.
However, I did speak with my fellow
panelists who have family members who are Service Members. There may be another
ticket option available to you. Eligible Service Members can purchase 1-day to 10-day tickets, and these may be gifted to family members by eligible Service Members. A military ID is not required to use these tickets when entering the parks.
There are also many other
Special Offers that line up with your planned visit! There’s currently an offer to save up to
25% on a Disney Resorts Collection hotel room this spring. There is also a
free dining plan for kids ages 3 to 9 offer when you purchase a Walt Disney Travel Company package for you and your children that includes a room at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel, and a dining plan for each Guest ages 10 and up. There are many other great offers available at the moment, and I highly recommend visiting the Special Offers page on the Walt Disney World website to see which offers apply to you and your travel party.
If you have any other questions as you continue to plan your vacation, please don’t hesitate to come back and see my friends and me here at
planDisney!
Happy Planning!
