Patty:
Seven days at Disney with the grandkids! A break would probably be just the ticket!
There are
six children's centers at WDW from which to choose: Simba's at Animal Kingdom Lodge and then others at the Polynesian, Wilderness Lodge, Grand Floridian, the Yacht & Beach Club and Dolphin. To my knowledge, there isn't a night that is better than any other when it comes to programming, and when I checked with a few of the other Disney moms, all of their children gave rave reviews! For added assurance, you are given a pager when you drop off your princesses.
You didn't mention if you had a car or not, but the Sandcastle Club is probably only a 5-minute drive by car from Caribbean Beach Resort, if you're simply looking for the closest one. And from there, you could enjoy the Boardwalk or use the back entrance to the World Showcase of Epcot for a quiet international dinner for just the two of you.
All of the other clubs are the same in size as the Sandcastle Club except The Neverland Club at the Polynesian resort. It hosts the largest Kid's Program and sports the biggest facility. It is well-themed and children have to "fly" through the window to enter! The good thing about the Polynesian is that if you don't have a car, you can take a bus from CBR to Magic Kingdom and hop on the monorail to the Polynesian to drop off the girls.
Rates are $11.25 per child currently (but can change) and there is a minimum of two hours. Complimentary dinner is served at 6:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Your princesses meet the age requirement as the clubs are for children 4 to 12 who are potty-trained. I recommend reservations as the programs have a limited number of spaces, and you can make them up to 90 days in advance. Just call: (407) 939-3463.
Wishing y'all a magical vacation!
