Hi Sadie, welcome to planDisney!
The current ticket offer for Eligible Service Members is the
Military Salute Ticket. Up to six Military Salute Tickets can be purchased by the Service Member or their spouse, however the tickets must be activated by the Service Member at a Walt Disney World ticket window and one of the six tickets must be used by the Service Member or their spouse. So unfortunately, your grandpa cannot purchase the tickets for you to use without visiting Walt Disney World Resort to activate them.
I have a few options for you to consider. Your grandpa can try to purchase non-promotional Walt Disney World theme park tickets through
Shades of Green Resort, which can be purchased and gifted to friends and family without the need of Military ID at first use. You can also visit the
Special Offers page on the Walt Disney World website to see if there are any offers that meet your vacation needs. There is currently a
3-Day, 3-Park Ticket that can be used at one theme park per day, valid for one admission to each Disney’s Animal Kingdom, EPCOT, and Hollywood Studios. This ticket is not valid for use at Magic Kingdom and does not allow Park Hopping. I know you’re originally planning to visit in October, but this ticket is only available through September 22, 2025, so if your plans are flexible this could be an option. There’s also a
Disney Resort offer to save up to 30% on select Disney Resort room reservations, valid for stays most nights from August 1, 2025 to October 11, 2025.
Unfortunately, I don’t know if or when offers will be available for your exact travel dates, so I suggest checking the Special Offers page frequently to see if anything new is released. You may also be visiting during
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. When my family has special event tickets, we like to spend the day by the Resort pool or at Disney Springs, then enter the theme park with our event tickets. Having that relaxing time during the day helps us stay out later during the holiday party. Official dates for 2025 Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party have not been announced yet, so watch the
Disney Parks Blog for future updates.
I hope I gave you some options to think about, Sadie. If you have any more questions as you plan for your trip with friends, come back and see us at
