Hi, Robert! Welcome to planDisney.
What a magical evening you have planned! Treating your grandmother to a lovely dinner followed by the spectacular fireworks is such a thoughtful way to make memories together. Dining at one of the signature restaurants near Magic Kingdom Park is already special, but pairing it with
Happily Ever After takes the experience to a whole new level of Disney enchantment!
You truly can’t go wrong with either
Citricos or California Grill. Both offer delicious food and elegant atmospheres. That said, I’d lean toward
California Grill for this occasion. The panoramic views are stunning, not just during the fireworks, but all evening long as the sun sets and Cinderella Castle begins to glow. I know you mentioned concerns about the wind, but in my personal experience, it’s never been a problem when dining there or watching the show from the observation deck. The ambiance, the view, and the overall experience just feel a little more "wow" from up there!
Here’s a little tip: if your reservation time doesn’t line up perfectly with the fireworks, don’t worry! Just keep your receipt, and you’ll be able to return to the viewing deck later that evening to watch the show. It’s such a great perk and a perfect way to cap off a memorable night with someone special.
TTFN, ta-ta for now!
Mike
