Hello Deanna, and welcome to planDisney!
Thanks for stopping by as you prepare for your adventure to the Most Magical Place on Earth. I love visiting Florida in late April. The weather is usually fantastic, and the spring break crowds will have started to dwindle. The
EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival is still in full bloom, so take time to
sample the fresh flavors and enjoy the beautiful topiaries of this seasonal event.
Deanna, your grandmother can use
Florida resident tickets even if she doesn't have her own My Disney Experience account. I don't live in the Sunshine State, but my parents do. Since I am the main planning person in our family, I manage their profiles and help them purchase tickets before traveling together. When we arrive at Walt Disney World, we stop by a ticket window or Guest Relations location to activate their tickets. Each visitor aged 18 and over who is redeeming a Florida resident ticket must present proof of residency and identification. Because I'm not one of Mickey Mouse's closest neighbors, my parents can't purchase Florida resident tickets for me to use. In your case, it sounds like only your grandmother can take advantage of Florida resident specials, and she can do so whether she has her own account or if you manage her profile.
Deanna, even if Florida resident tickets aren't available to you, there are other theme park ticket offers for the general public. The
4-Day, 4-Park Magic Ticket is a fantastic deal, allowing you to spend one full day in each of the four theme parks during your vacation for a discounted price. If you're looking to stay in a hotel in the
Disney Resorts Collection, you can save on your reservation with
this special offer. I hope you find something that works for you.
Thanks again for sending us your question! At planDisney, we're happy to assist with all aspects of vacation planning. Reach out again if you're interested in restaurant recommendations, theme park strategies, or ideas for making your trip even more special. Best wishes for a memorable visit, and we'll see ya real soon!
