Hi Kelsey,
I am truly sorry to hear about your grandmother. I know first hand the pain of losing a grandmother - it was a sad time in my life.
I think it is super thoughtful of you to want to do something special for your mom. You could treat her to dinner at a family style dinner - 'Ohana & Whispering Canyon Cafe are awesome. Dinner shows are super fun too (Spirit of Aloha, Hoop Dee Doo Revue & Mickey's Backyard BBQ). If you want to take her to a fine dining location California Grill, Artist Point, Citricos, Narcoossee's & The Flying Fish Cafe rock! Reservations can be made online or by calling 407-WDW-DINE.
You could have a floral arrangement or gift basket delivered to one of your dining locations or have an in-room celebration waiting for her by the
Disney Floral & Gift Department.
The Wishes Dessert Party offers an amazing view of the fireworks & fabulous desserts. Right now they are only booking until the end of 2010 but keep checking to see if they extend it through your trip - 407-WDW-DINE. The
Pirates & Pals Fireworks Voyage is a super way to see the fireworks at Magic Kingdom & so much fun for kids & adults so this could be awesome for your crew.
You could also treat her to a day at one of the many incredible
spas at WDW. Or schedule her to dine with a
Disney Imagineer. I love the
backstage tours and think she'd have a great time.
If you need more details on any of these, let me know. I think your mom would really enjoy any of these. Wishing you many magical memories :-) Allison
