My grandma got a ticket for another family member who can’t go unfortunately. So now my grandma wants to go instead, but the ticket is in the other person’s name. Do I need to call and have the name switched before we go to DCA and Disneyland?

Hello and welcome to planDisney, Kaylene. We're so glad you're here to share this question with us. I'm so excited for your visit to the Disneyland Resort and I'm delighted to help.

Oh dear, I'm sorry to hear that your family member won't be able to join in on the fun, but I'm so happy to hear that your grandma will be going with you. It's going to be so much fun having her there.

Wrong name on the ticket? Well, hakuna matata. It means no worries, and there's no worries about the ticket being in another person's name. Names on tickets are most helpful when trying to organize multiple tickets in the Disneyland app. When it's time to scan your ticket at the front gate, each person's picture will be taken and linked to their ticket, which will serve as identification throughout their visit. There's no need for the names to match.

You'll be arriving just in time to enjoy the last day of the Lunar New Year Celebration at Disney California Adventure Park. The festivities just kicked off last weekend and there are so many wonderful things to enjoy. During my next visit, I plan on sampling as many festival eats as I possibly can. Make sure to stop by the Lunar New Year Wishing Wall at Paradise Gardens Park to make your wish for the year.

Kaylene, I hope this is helpful and puts your mind at ease for your upcoming visit. Please come back to visit us with any other questions. I hope you have a magical time at the Happiest Place on Earth!
