Hello, I am a grandma that is planning on taking the grandkids to different parks than mom and dad are going to on a few occasions during our trip. How can I get my 4 year old grandson into the parks? He is managed by my son on the my Disney app.

    Hi Kami!

Your grandson is so lucky that he will have an opportunity to visit Walt Disney World with his parents and grandmother! My mom went to Walt Disney World with me and my kids several years ago and we formed memories that will last a lifetime!

I have a few suggestions to help you have an easy time bringing your grandson to the parks. First, I highly recommend that you download the My Disney Experience app and create an account if you haven't already. You can connect the entire family through the Friends & Family feature. If you all have the same Walt Disney World reservation number, you can connect through that reservation number. But don't worry if you do not have the same reservation number! If you are already connected to his mom and dad, you can connect your grandson by clicking on "Add a New Guest" and then selecting friends from your current Friends & Family list. You can also add him by looking him up. Once you have him added, make sure that both his valid park admission ticket and park reservation are linked to him through his account. If you have all of that information within My Disney Experience, you can use the app to get both yourself and him into the park.

I should also note that even though your grandson is managed by your son through the app, you can still link him to your account.

Another option is to purchase your grandson a MagicBand+ and link his admission ticket and park pass through the band. He can get into the parks easily by simply scanning his band at the gate. He can also use his MagicBand+ for Genie+ and Lightning Lane entrances.

A third option is to ask for a key card when you check in at your Walt Disney World Resort Hotel or at Guest Services at the park. A Cast Member can link your grandson's park admission to the key card so he can use that to get into the parks.

I hope you have a magical vacation!
