Grandma, daughter, and 2 year old granddaughter are trying to make a 3 day weekend trip. Which budget resort would you recommend. We are coming last weekend of July.

    Hi Lynn,

Thank you so much for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. How fun to be planning a last-minute weekend trip! Let me share with you about the value resorts at Walt Disney World.

The value resorts have many themes, so I suggest that you take a look at them and see which appeals to you the most. You will also notice that they vary a bit in price, so take a look at the prices as well. There is a great tool that you can use to compare Walt Disney World resort hotels. I find this to be a handy tool to look at the characteristics of different resort hotels side by side, and you can choose the hotels that you compare.

My personal favorite value resort is Disney's Art of Animation Resort. I find the theme to be whimsical and fun, celebrating animation. The pools are wonderful - The Big Blue Pool is the largest resort pool at Walt Disney World, and it has underwater speakers! You also have the option here of staying in either a standard hotel room or a family suite, so do check out which of those would work best for your traveling party.

I hope that these thoughts are helpful for you, Lynn! Please do let us know if you have any further questions.
