I have 7 grandkids and I would like to take them to Disney Christmas 2010 it would include 5 adluts and 7 children from age 12 to 3 . what would be the best deal for me to be about to take everyone. Would the cabins be the best place to stay. for 4 days

    Would you adopt me?

Seriously, what a wonderful Christmas present!  You will create a cherished memory for the whole family!

I like your thought of maximizing the cabin's occupancy of six to a cabin.  There, you can easily fit your group of 12.  Our family of 19 went two years ago and stayed in three cabins and thought it was the best decision for our family for several reasons:

    • We had space inside and out to gather with the large kitchen/living area along with the decks.
    • There was ample space outside for the kids to run and get that energy out!
    • We could enjoy a meal together as a family with the full-size kitchen, which may help you offset the cabin's price when you compare it to the All-Star Family Suites that are lower in price, but don't offer the ambiance you have at the campground.  The fort provides more of a destination in my mind than the All-Star Suites.
    • The plethora of activities at Fort Wilderness including Chip 'n' Dale's free campfire singalong.

Another unspoken gem of  Fort Wilderness during Christmastime is that you'll find many folks who decorate their cabins and campsites for the holidays!  Our family enjoyed seeing the Christmas lights as much as we enjoyed some of the experiences we paid for!

Let me recommend that you make reservations for the Hoop Dee Doo Revue as soon as you can (180-days out from your reservation).  Housed at Pioneer Hall at the fort, it serves as a fablous kickoff the first night or a wonderful sendoff on your final night.  Our entire group (young and old) LOVED the show!   And if you have any more questions about your vacation plans, feel free to visit me via my bio page!

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Whitney, Mississippi

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
