The grandkids are staying a different resort than grandma & grandpa. If mom & dad want to have a night out, can we bring the grandkids to our resort pool? I know Disney frowns at resort hopping. Thanks!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Paul! Thank you for stopping by. It’s our pleasure to help you plan your magical stay at the Walt Disney World Resort!

Paul, how thrilling that you get to enjoy the most magical place on earth with your family and grandkids! My first visit as a child was with my grandmother and we made memories I will not soon forget. I love that it was my grandmother who kickstarted my love for Disney!
As guests to the magnificent Walt Disney World Resort hotels, you have added benefits to your stay, like Extra Magic Hours, early access to FastPass+ reservations, but most importantly, the use of their world-class amenities, reserved for hotel guests. Because you will be guests at your hotel, I don’t think it will be a problem for you to keep the grandkids and enjoy the great pools and fun activities together at your home resort during your stay. If you want more peace of mind, you can always let the front desk know you will be hosting your grandkids for that evening and I bet they will be very welcoming. If you are staying at Disney’s Beach Club or Disney’s Yacht Club, there is a special bracelet provided to hotel guests so they can use the shared pools at these resorts. This is the one resort where you might need that special permission at the front desk. But again, because you are guests and the children are family, I’m sure the resort will gladly accommodate you.

I hope you have a great time during your stay! If you haven’t yet, consider adding Memory Maker to your package. I know you will want to capture as many memories of this visit, and with Disney’s PhotoPass Photographers ready to snap pictures of the entire family, it’s absolutely worth having!

Hope to see you real soon! ~Emille
