Hey there, hi there, Nora! Welcome to planDisney. You've brought us a great question regarding specialty tickets.
As a military spouse, I know how hard it can be to have our military members away from us and also how special vacation time can be. We are always so grateful for the discounts, and special offers Disney extends to military members. Unfortunately, for the
Disney Military Promotional Tickets, the service member or spouse must be present and using one of the tickets. This doesn't mean you're out of luck, though. Most military base ticket offices also sell standard tickets at a discount. These tickets do not have the stipulations that the other tickets have, and your grandkids' father could purchase them not only for the kids, but for you to use as well! These tickets also do not require any type of military ID for verification when you scan into the parks. I also recommend checking out the special offers page. There is a really great
Disneyland Anniversary Ticket Offer if you are visiting multiple days.
I am not sure how old your grandchildren are, but if they are younger, there are some
great resources to check out and help you make your visit as smooth as possible. Disneyland also recently released really fun maps geared towards
families and little ones, giving lots of helpful information about the different attractions and kid-friendly food options. These maps also include interactive activities that will help keep them busy in attraction queues. Just ask a Guest Services Cast Member for one!
Nora, I hope this information is helpful. I hope you and your grandchildren have a magical visit that is full of memories to last!
