Hi Mary Ann!
I'm thrilled to hear from you and want to thank you for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your great question.
It's wonderful to hear that Disney did such an excellent job of assisting with their food allergies on your last visit. While they've always been a leader in allergy and dietary request accommodation, I think you'll find that in the last few years, Disney has really upped the bar. When making any Advance Dining Reservations for Disney's Table-Service restaurants, make sure you note the allergy. Once you arrive and are seated, a chef will come talk with you to help you navigate the menu and make choices based on the allergy. For Quick-Service restaurants, simply let a cast member know when you arrive and they will guide you through the menu or make recommendations as well. I also think you'll find the information on the
Special Dietary Requests page of the Walt Disney World Resort website extremely helpful in your planning.
If your grandchildren are a fan of sweets, on our last visit, we were able to get delicious dairy and soy free sundaes at the
Plaza Ice Cream Parlor, so make sure you stop by and ask them about it. It was a fun treat my little one wasn't used to.
Have a great vacation and please let us know if there is anything else we are able to assist you with.
Magical Wishes,
Lauren
