My grandkids are from ages 6-10 and have their own spending money. I understand we can put a spending limit on the magic band. Can the cash be given to hotel at arrival or do all purchases go directly to credit card? thanks for very helpful panel!

Hello Glenda and thank you for bringing such a great question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
What a wonderful vacation awaits you and your dear little grandchildren at Walt Disney World Resort, I can just imagine how excited you must be feeling!
You're quite correct Guests can indeed put spending limits upon their Magic Bands; which is great for saving us adults from ourselves and our Disney shopping habits and importantly provides super safe spending powers for our young Mouseketeers!
I know from personal experience that it is certainly possible to add a card or cash credit to Magic Bands with the help of a Cast Member at your Resort Guest Services.
And another thing; if the allowance isn't spent during your vacation then the left over amount will automatically get credited back onto the credit card linked to your Magic Bands; how clever is that?!
If I can help further plan your upcoming vacation to Walt Disney World Resort please pop back to ask me another question.
    Have a great Disney day.
