Going with my grandkids ages 6 & 8 on the mexican riviera at the end of March. It is their 1st cruise. Wondering if there are excursions for them to enjoy??? Thanks.

    Hi, Marilyn!

You are sure to be nominated for "Grandmother of the Year" for taking your grandkids on such an amazing adventure! I'm actually scheduled to take this same itinerary in November with my kids, and I'll have all the first-hand scoop when I return. Stay tuned to the Disney Cruise Line News YouTube Channel to get an insider's peek into all that your cruise will have to offer.

Yet, in the meantime and for your and my benefit, I contacted the Disney Cruise Line Port Adventures Team -- who not only have experienced various Mexican Riviera Port Adventures but actually plan them for families with the tour operators. Arny gave me a great list of suggestions for families by port of call:

    Cabo San Lucas:
Cabo Dolphin Kids & Cabo Dolphin Swim
Whale Watching & Deluxe Coastal Cruise

    Puerto Vallarta:
    Las Caletas Hideaway
Pirate Boat Sail & Snorkel Adventure
    Sea Lion Encounter

When choosing Port Adventures, you may decide that your resources are best spent on one long adventure or dividing the day into two smaller Port Adventures. We like to take advantage of things we don't get to do on other vacations and sometimes one port will offer two unique opportunities. I hope that helps give you an idea of what to expect and how to plan. Let me know what else I can do to help!

Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation. Bon voyage!
