Is the grandgathering something our party 0f 8 should consider in our plans? And if so what would be your choice? Also with having 8 people should we call and get help with the iterinary? Thanks love this panel.

    Hi Kelly,

Traveling to Disney World with a large party can be so much fun.  Our family did it a couple of years ago, and it was one of my favorite vacations ever.

If the eight people in your party are all over the age of 3 and if you are staying at a Walt Disney Resort, you may qualify as a Magical Gathering.  Call (407)934-7639 for more information.  We did this on our vacation, and I would definitely do it again if traveling with a large group.  A Magical Gatherings planning specialist will help you coordinate your accommodations as well as help make reservations for dining, tours and other recreational activities.  Our coordinator really made planning a breeze.

Grand Gatherings are special experiences for parties of 8 or more.  We did the Safari Celebration Dinner, and it was amazing.  Guests are taken on Kilimanjaro Safari - however, they go much slower and allow time for photos and questions.  After dinner, your party is lead to Tusker House for an all you can eat African feast.  During dinner there is musical entertainment, a character meet & greet, and some creepy, crawly creatures that you can view up close.  My entire family enjoyed the experience.

Hope this helps.  Have a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
