I am a grandfather and with my wife we are bringing our 5 grandchildren to Disney. The smallest is 37 inches tall, the others are all under 47 inches. Will we be able to ride The Seven Dwarfs train altogether? Do the children need sit by an adult?

    Hi John,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

Seven Dwarfs Mine Train is one of our favorite rides! Guests must be at least 38 inches tall to ride so your youngest grandchild may not be tall enough. If that little one reaches the required height by the time you visit, then you can all potentially ride at the same time, but it depends on how old your grandchildren are. If they are under 7-years old, according to the Park Rules, they would all need to board the attraction with someone who is 14-years or older. I did call to verify the rules with a cast member. She indicated that each child under 7-years old needs someone 14-years old or over to ride with her or him. If your smallest grandchild is not tall enough to ride, I suggest that you speak with a cast member at the attraction to see if Rider Switch would work.

John, if you have not done so already, check the height requirements for each attraction. Use the attractions list for each park - Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney's Animal Kingdom and Disney's Hollywood Studios. Be sure to make Fast Pass+ selections for some attractions and, if you want to split the group, feel free. If, for example, a few of them meet the height requirement for "big kid" rides, then have your wife take that group to ride while you take the smaller ones to a different ride!

Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
