My granddaughters are suppose to dance at Disney World in October 2023. So far my daughter has our name on a list and not much else. I am a Disney plan ahead person. We were just there is March with our other grandchildren. Help! Where do I begin?

    Hiya Debra!

Welcome to planDisney! Congrats to you and your granddaughters for having the opportunity to dance in Walt Disney World! I'm not sure what has been arranged for you so far, but if your dance trip package includes a stay at a Walt Disney Resort hotel and Theme Park Tickets, then you are almost all set. Reach out to the organizers for this dance event to see when you will get your Resort Reservation or Vacation Package number in your email. You can link that to your My Disney Experience Account here. If you are responsible for arranging your stay and tickets, you should work on that as soon as possible.

Once you have the Resort stay and tickets set up consider which days you want to visit the Parks as you still need to make Theme Park Reservations for your October 2023 trip. It may be difficult to plan for that as you may have to wait for itinerary information from your dance group. For those days you know you have to yourself here are some suggestions for how to have the best trip ever with your princesses:

    1. Make at least one table service Dining Reservation 60 days before your trip. It's the perfect time to rest, experience something fun, and cool down. I would suggest Akershus Royal Banquet Hall at EPCOT which is a princess character meal inside a castle in the Norway Pavilion in EPCOT. Another fun choice is Roundup Rodeo BBQ at Disney's Hollywood Studios which is a brand new restaurant with some incredible theming and is exactly how I would picture as a kid what a "Disney Restaurant" should look like.

    2. Inspire your little dancers with all the amazing dancers and performers seen during the parades and shows throughout the Parks. My favorite parade is the Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade which is usually scheduled to occur at noon and 3:00 PM every day. Make sure to check the Park Hours calendar to see all the scheduled Events for each Park.

    3. Your little dancers may also enjoy the brand-new Disney Springs Kids Club! It's a dance party with special performers and right now it looks to be occurring on Saturdays. Just click "Add to My Plans" on the events page so that it will appear on your My Disney Experience Mobile App for that day.

    4. Consider having a special Capture Your Moment photo session in the Parks! Book this 60 days before your arrival and it is a 20-minute private session with a Disney PhotoPass photographer. Bring special looks and then change into something comfortable when finished to enjoy the rest of your Park day. Just make sure that any outfits follow Park guidelines

    5. Finally, you will be arriving during the best time of the year. Check out Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party which is a specially ticketed event with an amazing parade, fireworks show, character experiences and even trick-or-treating!

I hope this helps and if you need any more ideas or help please reach out to me!
