    My granddaughters dream is to be the family selected to ride in the "special car" at the beginning of the parade. How is that family selected???? She spends the summer with us and we are on Disney property most of that time.

    Hi Gail!

         That would be dream come true for us as well!!!  Sadly, no one knows exactly how to be selected to ride in any of the parades on property.  Well, I take that back, Superbowl champions are always guaranteed a spot!!!  What I can tell you is that the families seem to be selected early in the morning and they are usually families who appear to be having a great time.  I've heard, but can't confirm, that matching shirts have also drawn the attention of the Cast Members who make the selection.  I don't know ANYONE who has every actually been chosen, so I would LOVE it if one of our readers were selected.  How cool would that be?  I wish you and your granddaughter the very best of luck and I hope that you enjoy your summer with her!
