My granddaughter will be 2 weeks shy of being 3 years old when we visit Disney World in May. We were hoping she would be able to do the BBB but were told she had to be 3. Is there another place we can take her to dress up?

    Hi there Melissa,

Unfortunately, Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique guests must be 3 years old at the time of the appointment to receive services.  I know that must be disappointing, especially since your granddaughter will be only a few weeks shy during your visit.

With some creativity and a little pixie dust, you can create a makeover experience that is equally as magical for your little princess.  Step one would be to find the perfect dress!  Now, you can certainly do this once you arrive at Walt Disney World, but it might be fun to do some shopping beforehand! I have had lots of luck with finding adorable dresses on Etsy and even at my local Disney Store.  You can even match up all of the accessories for a unique and complete look.

Next, select one of the Walt Disney World Resort hotel salons and call to make an appointment for a child's updo.  The Ivy Trellis Salon at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa would be my recommendation. The experienced stylists will be able to create an adorable look of your choosing.  They do offer a special princess package, but it is limited to children 4 and up so be sure to specify it is for a stand alone updo.

Another option would be to get her all dressed and ready at your hotel room, and head over to the Harmony Barber Shop on Main Street USA in the Magic Kingdom!  They offer a few adorable styles for little princesses with colorful gel and Mickey confetti sprinkled in!  It really just depends on how "coiffed" you would like the hair.  Ivy Trellis would be a more formal updo, while Harmony Barber Shop would be a more fun and colorful look!  It's really up to you!

    Hope this helps,
