My granddaughter turns 5 on November 5, 2011 and I would like to schedule dinner with the princesses and all the other things that go with that for her special day. Please, can you reccomend what I should begin with to make all this happen for her?

    Hi Philip,

Boy, are you going to score some serious grandpa points!

Since your granddaughter is only 5, I would definitely take her to Magic Kingdom.  She can dine with the Princesses at Cinderella's Royal Table which is located INSIDE Cinderella's Castle!!!  I know, fabulous, right?  There she will be able to meet the Princesses, get their autographs and have pictures taken with them.  You can call (407)WDW-DINE to make this reservation.  Please keep in mind that you can make this booking up to 180 days prior to your visit.

If you would like a cake bought out for her, you can request a cake when you check in at the restaurant.  It's a Mickey shape and it's very good.  You also have the option of ordering a custom cake which can incorporate her favorite characters, in this case, the Princesses.  To do this you can call Disney's cake line at (407)827-2253.  Please allow a few days advance notice.

Don't forget to pick up her complimentary birthday button when you arrive at the park.  She'll get special birthday wishes from the Princesses and all of the Castmembers she comes across.

Please wish your little princess a very happy birthday from me.  I hope you all have a wonderful time.

Magic Kingdom still takes my breath away, but my favorite place to be is on a Disney ship looking at the horizon and breathing in that crisp, clean ocean air!  I love planning Disney vacations for others and making sure it's more than they dreamed. Learn More About Marisol
