Hi there Janice, welcome to planDisney! Thanks for asking such a great question about Disney Gift Cards, let's get to it!
Disney Gift Cards are a fantastic way to give a little bit of Disney magic to a friend or loved one, what better place to use a Disney Gift Card than at
Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa! Your granddaughter will have an incredible time in Ko Olina enjoying everything Aulani Resort offers. From walking the sandy shores of the lagoon, to floating in the lazy river at
Waikolohe Stream, to experiencing the relaxing
Kula Wai: Outdoor Hydrotherapy Garden of Laniwai - A Disney Spa, there is something for everyone to enjoy.
I spoke to an Aulani Resort Cast Member who confirmed that Disney Gift Cards are accepted everywhere at Aulani Resort. If relaxing is more her speed, your granddaughter can enjoy Laniwai - A Disney Spa's vitality baths, soaking pools, six unique waterfall rain showers, whirlpool jet spas and more. Or, if she'd like to channel her inner Ariel and swim with the fish, she can head to the 3,800-square-foot Rainbow Reef and snorkel in the saltwater lagoon.
If my daughters had a choice, they'd head over to
Pāpālua Shave Ice and grab a Mickey-shaped refreshing Hawaiian treat. (They may have been regulars there during our stay). If she's feeling hungry and wants to grab something to eat while hanging out by the pools, I highly recommend popping over to
Ulu Cafe (the Acai bowls are fantastic!). If she would like to start the day eating breakfast with Mickey and pals, she can use her Gift Card at
Makahiki - The Bounty of the Islands. Here, Guests enjoy incredible food, and local artwork, and find themselves surrounded by intricate stained glass, vividly-coloured murals and dramatic lighting or they might choose to dine alfresco on the lanai next to a calming koi pond. I also recommend dining at
‘AMA‘AMA – Contemporary Island Cooking - you can't beat eating at this open-air restaurant and watching the sun set over Ko Olina Beach.
As you can see, the options for spending a Disney Gift Card are endless; your granddaughter is going to have a hard time choosing! Janice, I hope this information was useful. If you have any other questions, please visit

Aloha,
Candace
