hi my granddaughter will be 18mths when we go in September. Do we book for 5 or 6 as she will not be on dining plan. Would our party be classed as a 5 or 6 , as parties of 6 or more have extra gratuities ..thankyou

Hi, Mel!  Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

I am so excited to hEAR that you will be visiting the Walt Disney World Resort with your granddaughter!  I am sure that you will make vacation memories to treasure forever on this "grand" adventure.

When you book your Walt Disney World Resort vacation package, you will want to include all members of your travel party, including your granddaughter.  However, since she is under 3 years old, you will not need to purchase park tickets or a dining plan for her.  When you make your dining reservations, you will need to include your granddaughter in the number of guests, even though she will not be getting her own meal.  Cast Members will need to know you have a little Mouseketeer in your party in order to seat you at a table with adequate space and to adhere to building occupancy codes.

Since you are traveling with a little one, be sure to take advantage of the Baby Care Centers located in each of the four Walt Disney World theme parks.  They are a great place to take a break and care for the park's youngest guests.

Wishing you a magical Walt Disney World Resort vacation!
