My granddaugher will be 2 1/2 when we go to Disney World this fall. Will we need to bring proof of age?

    Hi, Cheryl!

Ah, the joys of taking a little one to Walt Disney World...everything is pure magic in their eyes, they love meeting the Disney Pals, they look adorable in little Mouse ears, and most importantly, they are FREE! Kids under the age of 3 will not require a theme park ticket. No proof of age is needed, as Mickey is a very trusting Mouse and will take your word on your little one's age.

Remember, when dining at a buffet or family style dining location, your 2 1/2 year old can share off your plate for no charge. This works well since these restaurants are "all you care to eat" so you can get plenty of food to share.

When dining at a Table Service or Quick Service location, you can again share your meals or you can buy a Kids Meal for her at menu price.

At this age, even if not used at home, I highly suggest a stroller. You can easily log up to 8 miles or more in a day, and this can really tire our little Mouseketeers. Plus, a stroller is handy to store diaper bags, tote bags, or any other goodies you are bringing into the parks with you.

Wishing you and your darling granddaughter a magical vacation in Walt Disney World!

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the snow and cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is hiking at a National Park, sailing on a Disney Cruise Ship, or going to Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. My husband proposed to me in front of Cinderella Castle and we have not stopped visiting ever since! It's a blast helping guests here at planDisney!
