Hello Susan!
Welcome to
planDisney! You've found the most magical corner of the internet where my fellow panelists and I help make vacation dreams come true. Let's discuss the benefits of being one of Mickey Mouse's closest neighbors.
First of all, what a lucky grandma you are! My parents spend about half the year in the Sunshine State and love taking my kids to the theme parks, too. I think it reminds them of family trips we took when my sisters and I were young.
Florida Resident theme park tickets and
Annual Passes are meant for those who live in or own property in Florida. Guests 18 and older are required to
show proof of residency to activate and redeem these special tickets. For Florida Resident Annual Passes, you might also be asked to show that your grandchildren reside with you in Florida. You can purchase your preferred passes on the Walt Disney World website and match them to your grandchildren in your Family & Friends list. Just remember that the ticketing Cast Member has the final word on activation. Be prepared to upgrade to the Disney Incredi-Pass if your grandchildren are not eligible for resident passes. Visit a theme park ticketing window or the
Disney Ticket Center at Disney Springs to present proof of residency and activate the tickets.
I hope this makes sense, Susan. Best wishes for a year full of magic and memories at the
Walt Disney World Resort. Please come see us again if there is anything we can do to make 2025 even more special, and have a
bibbidi bobbidi beautiful day!
Betsy
