My 3 grandchildren want to participate in the Jedi Training. We are having breakfast at Disney Jr. breakfast at 8 am. Can we go from breakfast to sign up for the pre-registraion? Should we cancel our reservations and wait outside the gate?

Hi Marsha! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

Jedi Training Academy has recently been re-imagined and a new Jedi Training: Trials of the Temple just launched and it even includes a new villain! While my children haven’t participated in this new Jedi Training, I know that young Padwans train to use the Force, and it will be put to the test when they face Darth Vader and the new villain. My kids can’t wait to experience this!

I checked the Park Hours for February 12, 2016 the day that you are planning on dining at Hollywood and Vine for breakfast and also hoping to participate in the new Jedi Training. Hollywood Studios opens at 9:00 a.m. on that day. I always allow 60-90 minutes for Table Service meals, especially those including characters. I know that a lot of people go right to the Jedi Training sign up immediately after they enter the park since it is very popular. If it were me I would weigh out what is most important to my family. Since our family really loves the Disney Junior Play ‘n’ dine breakfast I think we would still participate in the dining experience, and then go right to the Jedi Training sign up right after that. If there are multiple adults in your party I would suggest that one take the children to the sign up and one stay behind to pay the bill at the restaurant. This will save some waiting time!

I hope that your family will get to experience both of these really fun opportunities!

May the Force be with you!
