Hi, Kelly! Welcome to planDisney!
I'm so excited to hear that you have a "grand" adventure planned with your grandchildren! One of the best things about
Walt Disney World Resort is that there truly is something for Guests of all ages. All four Walt Disney World theme parks have
attractions and entertainment options that young Mouseketeers and their grown-up family members can enjoy together, so let's chat about some of those must-dos for kids under 10.
You're definitely going to want to take your grandkids to
Magic Kingdom Park. This park is the quintessential Walt Disney World experience, and there are tons of attractions that are perfect for the whole family. When my kids were little, some of their favorite Magic Kingdom Park attractions were Peter Pan's Flight, "it's a small world" and Jungle Cruise. The Barnstormer (Guests must be 35 inches or taller) and Seven Dwarfs Mine Train (Guests must be 38 inches or taller) are great first roller coasters for thrill-seeking kiddos. While you're at Magic Kingdom Park, be sure to drop by Town Square Theater to meet Mickey Mouse, and you don't want to miss the Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade.
If your grandchildren are Star Wars or Toy Story fans, then a trip to
Disney's Hollywood Studios is going to be a must-do. If you visit Disney's Hollywood Studios, be sure to go for a ride on Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway. This attraction takes you on a zany adventure through a cartoon world, and it's a blast for the whole family.
Over at
Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park, young children will love the shows, Finding Nemo: The Big Blue...and Beyond! and Festival of the Lion King. Don't miss your chance to explore the African savanna on Kilimanjaro Safaris. This is another attraction that can be enjoyed by Guests of all ages.
Many Guests think of
EPCOT more as a park that appeals to older kids and adults, but I think there is a lot of fun to be had here for little ones. I think your grandchildren will love Remy's Ratatouille Adventure and Frozen Ever After. Be sure to stop by The Seas with Nemo & Friends. After the ride, you can explore the beautiful aquariums in the pavilion, and Turtle Talk with Crush is a must-do for kids.
No matter which parks you visit with your grandchildren, I'm certain that you'll make some magical memories together. If you have any additional questions, please don't hesitate to ask us here at planDisney. We're all ears!
See ya real soon!
