Hiya Deborah,
Thanks so much for stopping by planDisney with your ticket question. As a fellow Florida resident, I totally get the excitement. I have been an
Annual Passholder for almost ten years now, and I honestly cannot imagine life without it. We love being able to pop into the parks on a random day just because, or turn it into a full weeklong Disney adventure. My family jokingly calls it our membership to the Mickey Mouse Club, and it really does feel like being part of something special.
Now let’s jump right into your question. To purchase or use a Florida Resident ticket, you do need to be a Florida resident. Florida residents age 18 or older must show
proof of residency at a Florida address. This can be a valid Florida driver’s license with a Florida address, a valid Florida state-issued ID card with a Florida address, or a valid Florida-based military ID.
If there are additional members of the same household, they will need to show proof of that same residential address. Florida residents under the age of 18 do not need to provide proof of residency as long as the adult purchasing the ticket is a Florida resident with valid documentation.
It is also important to know that Disney does reserve the right to request additional proof of residency at any time. They may cancel a ticket or Annual Pass or deny entry if a document is not valid or if there are any concerns.
I hope this helps clear things up for you, Deborah. If you have any other questions while planning your Disney fun, please feel free to stop by again.
See you real soon,
Christina
