My grandchildren are 16. They have a birthday coming up. As a Florida resident can I purchase Disney passes for them and activate proof of residency online? Or do I have to attend the park with them?

    Hi Diane!

Thanks for sending your question to the planDisney Panel! Great question! As a Floridian myself, I am happy to assist you! It is so nice of you to gift tickets to the grand kids. As a Florida Resident, you can purchase Florida Resident Discount tickets for your grandchildren, since minors do not have to provide proof of Florida residency. Keep in mind that there are a few things to consider if you are not going to be present. First, remember that when a Florida Resident purchases discounted tickets, in order to activate them, they need to provide proof of residency either online or upon arrival in order to activate all tickets including the child tickets. Also, upon entering the parks, the minor child must tap in at the touch points. If there are any issues with the ticket, the Florida Resident must be present to resolve the issue with Guest Services. Hope this helps!

It has been a pleasure assisting you Diane! Please feel free to send me any other questions you may have!
