do grand villas ever get discounted like the 2 bedroom ones do? I am thinking of travelling at the end of September 2013 and see that other larger rooms do.

    Hi Janice,

It is possible for the three bedroom grand villas at Disney Vacation Club-operated resorts to be offered at a discounted price.  The only problem is that these rooms are few in number and high in demand.  That means they fill up easily without need for incentives or deep discounts.  Therefore I wouldn't be too hopeful that you'll be able to book one of these rooms at a significant discount.  However, I wouldn't give up.  Call the Walt Disney Travel Office at (407) W-DISNEY periodically to see what prices are available for the grand villas.  Then you can establish a baseline price and you'll know when you've found a deal.  Check the Special Offers page at the Walt Disney World homepage. Pay special attention to Disney's Old Key West Resort and Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort as these two resorts seem to offer discounted rooms more frequently than the other deluxe villa resorts.  If you find a new promotion that applies to deluxe villa resorts, call to book it right away.  You may even want to enlist the help of a Disney-savvy travel agent who will help you keep an eye on new deals as they are released.  If all else fails, book a two-bedroom villa and a nearby deluxe studio.  This combination of rooms will give you the same space as a grand villa.

I'll keep my fingers crossed that a discounted three-bedroom grand villa will be in your near future!

    Best wishes,
    Jill
