Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Karen!
What a special memory and keepsake you have from your 2002 visit to Walt Disney World Resort, and I just love that you’d like to continue the tradition. The photos from my family’s magical vacations are some of my most treasured souvenirs, and we look at them so often as we share stories, laugh, and imagine our next visit to our happy place.
Unfortunately, there is no longer a portrait artist at
Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. However, depending on the style of the photo and your budget, I have a few ideas so you can continue the tradition and capture the perfect portrait of your grandchild.
Disney Fine Art Photography does stunning work, and they offer photo sessions at the resorts and theme parks. My children and I watched a family having a photo shoot on the beach between Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa and Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, with Cinderella Castle in the background, and we were swooning over how gorgeous those photos were looking. Take a look at their
website for details and pricing, and call (407) 934-4004 if you have questions or would like to make a reservation.
If you'll be purchasing
Memory Maker, you can visit the
Disney PhotoPass Service Studio in Disney Springs to have photos taken. Choose from a variety of backdrops and props as you have your very own photo session – and the photos are included in your Memory Maker purchase.
One other thought I have is that you, your daughter, and your granddaughter could have
Silhouette Portraits done at one of the carts located around Walt Disney World. There's one on Main Street U.S.A. in Magic Kingdom Park, and I've always thought a silhouette would make a charming souvenir.
Karen, I also recommend checking in at your resort’s front desk or Guest Relations when you arrive, because you never know when a portrait artist may pop up at a resort or
Disney Springs. It’s worth checking!
Enjoy every minute of your
Grand adventure!
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
