Is the Grand Floridian Cafe a nice restaurant to use a Disney Dining Plan credit in, or are there better choices?

Hi Maureen! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

Your trip is SO close now and I bet you are dreaming about all of the delicious food you are about to experience with the Disney Dining Plan. You will love how easy and convenient everything is when using the dining plan for your meals and snacks on your vacation!

My family has used our meal entitlements at Grand Floridian Cafe a few times in the past and while we really enjoyed our meals, we do try to use our Table-Service meal entitlements at locations that we get a little more value like Character Dining locations. If you are staying at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, the cafe is very convenient, so it may be worth it for you just for that reason! That is usually why we choose to dine there.

Depending on dining reservation availability for the dates of your trip, you may want to consider a location like 1900 Park Fare, Boma - Flavors of Africa, Cape May Cafe, Kona Cafe, Raglan Road Irish Pub and Restaurant, Sanaa, or Whispering Canyon Cafe (these are spots outside of the theme parks that I'm often able to find last-minute reservations at). If you decide to keep your reservation at Grand Floridian Cafe, I recommend the Sirloin Steak and Scallops for dinner ... yum!

I hope you have a fun, and delicious, vacation, Maureen! Please let us know if you have any other questions.
