Welcome aboard the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Howard! Birthdays are extra magical when they are celebrated at sea!
You’ve got plenty of time before your April sailing on the
Disney Fantasy to let Disney Cruise Line know about your granddaughter’s birthday. (They recommend at least three weeks in advance).
Contact Disney Cruise Line and they will note the special celebration on your reservation. After the meal is complete, your
rotational dining team will sing "Happy Birthday” and bring her a complimentary dessert.
And yes, you absolutely can select what day you’d like to celebrate her birthday. April 9th is an At Sea day on your itinerary and the night before you arrive in Castaway Cay. I’d say that’s a great choice!
Pick up a "Happy Birthday" button from
Guest Services (Deck 3, Midship) that can be worn the entire vacation. She will feel like a celebrity with all the crew and guests wishing her "Happy Birthday!"
You can also check out
Onboard Gifts to purchase a birthday cake or cupcake (at least seven days prior to sailing) which can be delivered to the dining room or directly to your stateroom. Or let the pixie dust fly in your stateroom by ordering the “Birthday Wishes Stateroom Decor” package (at least three days before departure) to add to your celebration. I’ll bet a 6-year-old would LOVE one of these as a surprise!
To give her the royal treatment, consider a princess makeover at the
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. My daughter always loved being transformed into Cinderella at this special salon. Available for an additional fee, the packages include hair and makeup treatments to costumes.
I'm so excited that you'll be sailing on the Disney Fantasy. Between the
Eastern Caribbean itinerary and a birthday at sea, it’s sure to be an unforgettable vacation for your crew and your little princess!
"Sea" ya real soon! Sherry
