Hi Karen, welcome to planDisney!
Excellent choice on considering a stay at
Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa! This is my family's preferred choice of lodging when we visit the
Disneyland Resort. We love everything about it, especially the special entrance that leads directly into
Disney California Adventure Park!
But back to your question, the cancelation policy is dependent on how you booked your reservation. If you book a room-only reservation, you will be required to put down a deposit at the time of booking. If you wish to cancel your reservation, you must cancel at least five days prior to your arrival date for a full refund. If you cancel less than five days prior to your arrival date, there will be a cancelation fee of the first night's room rate plus taxes and fees.
If you decide to purchase one of the
Disneyland Resort Vacation Packages, which allows Guests to bundle their
Disneyland Resort Hotel and
theme park tickets into one convenient package, the cancelation policy is a bit different. For cancelations made 30 days or more prior to your arrival date, the amount you paid (minus cancelation fees assessed by third-party hotels or other suppliers, non-refundable travel protection plan costs, and other amounts owed) will be refunded. For cancelations made five to 29 days prior to your arrival, the amount you paid minus a cancelation fee of $200 (and cancelation fees assessed by third party hotels or other suppliers, non-refundable travel protection plan costs, and other amounts owed) will be refunded. And finally, if you cancel four days or less prior to your arrival, the full price of the vacation package is non-refundable. And of course, all of this is subject to change!
I hope that helped to clarify all of our options! If you have any more questions, please do visit us again!
See ya real soon!
